Surf

Foam and silk,
Swirling sands,
Breaking salt,
In the tumbling waters
And your sun warned hands.

Before dawn,
Our bodies spun,
Rising and turning,
As April burned,
The surf and sun.

And by the powdery white,
Of the crystal waves,
Sea horses would hide,
Hide in coral caves,
Waking our sea- lazing ways.

Miles apart,
You hear my heart,
Across the shimmering blue,
And feel the surf,
Bring me to you.

Endless breath,
Endless life,
Look over the tides,
The waters, the skies,
The surf and light.
